Travel to Become a Worldly Woman After 50

Become a worldly woman through inspiring and fun travel.

If you are over 50, it’s good to be a worldly woman! One of the best things a woman can do for herself after 50? Travel!

If you’ve previously been bitten by the travel bug, then it won’t come as a surprise that travel after 50 is an entirely new adventure. You are probably like me and already have a list of places to see and a bag half-packed!

If you haven’t traveled lately, then consider this your sign to start planning a trip now! We aren’t getting any younger, darlings, and there’s a whole world left out there for us to see.

For my next trip, I’m looking forward to visiting some of America’s most glorious national parks, and you are invited to join me! Darling, let’s be worldly women over 50 together! Click here for more information.

Let’s Go, Girls!

Just the tiniest bit of travel can ignite the fire of wanderlust within us. When I say travel, it doesn’t have to be something across oceans and continents – it can be something somewhat local or just a few hours away.

Travel can be anything out of your ordinary life. It’s time to pack your bag and head somewhere new!

Travel has the power to create change within us. Experiencing new places, foods, cultures, and people is both a form of art and therapy.

I invite you to travel during the good times of life, of course, but also make it a priority to travel during the lows of life as well. Travel has the ability to bring hope after loss, which I’ve blogged about before.

To be honest, I don’t think there is ever a wrong time to travel. So, obviously, the pandemic put a damper on my wanderlust soul for quite a while. I’m glad to be off gallivanting again!

I hope you’ll join me on this exciting group travel experience!

Travel to Become a Worldly Woman After 50

Life can take a lot out of us, but one thing it can never take from us is the places we’ve been.

A cultured, well-traveled woman is the epitome of grace and excellence – and that’s a woman I hope we all aspire to be!

The world is so full of experiences that there is no way we will be able to cram them all into our lifetimes, but I’m not letting that stop me from trying.

I want to see the places my ancestors created, walk along the paths that built empires, experience the sunrise from a new continent, eat breakfast with people that don’t speak my language, feel the morning dew in the air of a new country, and stamp my passport until it can’t be stamped anymore.

To travel is to grow. Each new place we go and new person we meet allows us to glimpse a way of life that isn’t native to us. This is something I wish for all people – especially you!

I’m an authority on the art of travel and have endless advice for both international and domestic trips. Be sure to read my tips on buying luggage before you start to pack your bags.

So, Where to?

It’s no secret that I’m a worldly woman always on the run. I’m always thinking about what plane I can hop on next and I blame that on my dear grandfather. (And I thank him for that, too!)

Some places I’ve been to that I recommend are:

Paris

Iran

Bali

Africa

Antarctica

If you are traveling, always make a plan!

Becoming a Worldly Woman Over 50 Begins With a Plan

Even though my wanderlust heart often takes control, I still have to plan.

I’m a firm believer that the more you prepare, the better your trip will be. If you want to travel stress-free, lists are your friend, darlings.

A well-traveled worldly woman after 50 knows that to travel with ease one must prepare.

If you don’t have a travel agent, make that your first step. Pick someone with rave reviews you can trust. Make sure they are well-traveled themselves! You want someone planning your trip that has traveled near and far; not someone who plans your trip on their computer!

If you’re worried about traveling alone, there are multiple companies that offer solo travel trips. Don’t miss out on the trip of a lifetime because you are widowed or otherwise traveling alone. Find a travel agent with experience in booking solo travel trips and experience working with these solo travel companies. Read more about the safest places to travel solo as a worldly woman over 50.

Make sure when planning your trip, you don’t forget to plan for your home! Try to leave your affairs at home in order before you leave. No one likes coming home to a chaotic mess after world traveling.

Consider leaving your itinerary with a trusted friend or family member and be sure to touch base back home throughout your trip.

Pack smart! Over the years I’ve gotten packing down to a science. Make sure to read my blog about traveling tips and packing the smart way.

Worldly Women Don’t Wait

Take the trip. Become the worldly woman you’ve always wanted to be.

Now is the time to experience new things. Document them with photos, blogs, and journaling. Share your trips with those you love.

Are you ready to wander, darling?

Tell me in the comments about the favorite places you’ve been or what spot is up next on your travel list. I’m always looking for a new place to visit!

We just returned from a tour of Germany and Austria. We decided we do not like tours! We have always rented cars and driven our own route and agenda, and will do that, going forward. And we are! We now live and travel in our RV, the Behemoth. It’s not something I encourage for everyone; it’s already difficult to get campsites! But, actually, I do recommend it. Talk about stepping out of your comfort zone to learn new things and new ways!

Just returned from a trip on the Orient Express—Paris to Istanbul with extra days in Istanbul staying at the Pera Palas! Fabulous adventure!

    Aloha Honey,
I’m writing this from Hawaii where I’m spending the month of September visiting my family and friends. As you know, Hawaii was my home for 45 years before I moved to FL. I also know that you love it here.

If you haven’t visited Tahiti I would highly recommend it. I have never seen the ocean colors as beautiful as it is there, and the people are so warm and welcoming.

    Happy travels….
