It is Wednesday and that means I’m bringing you the latest fashion and beauty trends, my darlings. This week I’m going to be talking about accessories, but not just any accessories, summer accessories!

On Instagram, I noticed many of you asking about the accessories I use to add color and fun to my wardrobe. I decided I would dedicate this post to a few items I thought you all might like for the coming season.

When buying accessories, I always remember one thing: I am purchasing them to last a lifetime. That means that they will never go out of style, my darlings. Think of your accessories as investments, as things you will cherish and wear forever. This will make it much easier for you to spend your hard-earned money on quality, stylish and timeless pieces.

I love earrings, especially a good statement earring, my darlings. They can elevate any look very quickly.

A statement earring, my readers, is exactly what you think it is. It is an earring that is bold and exciting, adding flair to any woman’s look. I don’t know about you, but a good earring can make me feel confident and beautiful.

Earrings can also tell you a lot about the person wearing them. Are the earrings long or hooped? Are they skinny or wide? Are they diamonds or fringe? I think it is so fun that we can show who we are and match our moods with something as simple as an earring.

Handbags Upon Handbags 

An outfit is never complete without a handbag, my darlings!

I have spoken about handbags before and I like to carry them for two reasons. First, practicality and secondly for fashion. Without a handbag, we wouldn’t be able to carry around important necessities we need while out and about. Especially if we have grandchildren with us, we need a place to hold things they may require as well.

I also love the idea of handbags that can travel from day to nighttime or ones that simply finish an outfit, giving it a final, bold punch. I very much enjoy carrying a bag that adds a splash of color to an outfit, particularly a black dress or a suit.

Not to mention, handbags are a fun accessory to collect and enjoy. Quality brands will last you for many years and will never go out of style.

Oversized Sunglasses

I smile just thinking about a great pair of sunglasses, my readers! Not only do they protect your eyes and the delicate skin around your eyes, but they also make a great fashion statement. The right pair of sunnies can enhance your confidence and fierceness in any situation.

The key to picking the right pair, my darlings, is to have fun with the process. Choose glasses that fit both your face shape and your personality.

I enjoy bright colors and chic styles, but it is truly up to you. Buy a couple of pairs that fit all of your summer fashions and do not be afraid to try frame sizes that are out of your comfort zone.

Statement Belts for Any Occasion 

Belts, my darlings, are such a wonderful accessory. You can use them not only for practical reasons but also as an elegant fashion statement. I adore a belt that you can wear casually or formally. As well, a thin or thick banded belt can be used to accentuate the waist or create a slimming effect that’s quite wonderful on any body type or shape!

My darlings, don’t be afraid to spend a little extra money on a chic and well-made belt. I say this because a few weeks ago, I posted a picture of one of my favorite belts on Instagram. So many of you asked where I got it from, and I just had to share its story here for you.

This beautiful belt is my Elsa Peretti open heart belt from Tiffany’s. I’ve had it for over 20 years! Because I buy my accessories to last a lifetime, they will serve me well and fashionably forever. Lastly, the final little accessory I want to share with you is a beautiful brooch. Yes, my darlings, brooches have not gone out of style! I actually believe with the Royal Family becoming more centric these last few years, brooches have made a comeback. They are not only stylish but can also add flair to a black blazer during work hours or a pop of personalization on a solid-colored blouse or cocktail dress.
