If I Could Wish Upon a Star

Entertaining overnight guests

I have often written that December is my favorite month of the year. It is the month of giving and sharing and loving. December is also the month my ultimate concierge and I were married, 28 years ago. We celebrated our anniversary a few days ago, on December 22nd.

My ultimate concierge, Sheldon F. Good, and I met for the first time on a beautiful sunny day. It was November 16th, 1990. His first words to me were, “I feel like I know you.”

He didn’t.

He took me to brunch at a beautiful restaurant. Upon arrival  he told the maitre d’, “I’d like a room for two.”

He wasn’t trying to be cute. It was a slip of the tongue.

Two hours later, he told me he was going to marry me! He was serious. This was not a slip of the tongue.

My reaction… my little heart went pitter patter.

Here is a podcast my ultimate concierge and I recorded last year:

If I could wish upon a star, my wish would be:

“I wish Shelly and I could go back in time and relive each day.”

Merry Christmas, Darlings!
