THE WORLD HAS BEEN MY CLASSROOM AND I’M READY TO SHARE THAT WITH YOU

I see the world through rose-colored glasses — and, so can you! My travels have expanded my perception of the people and places in the world. Each of the countries I traveled through played on all my senses and I felt more worldly after each trip ended.  Self-growth is a gift.

“You know I believe in listening to my heart — it knows. It knew this trip was my opportunity to meet you in person and not for just an hour but for several days. To laugh with you, to learn with you, to share  travel adventures with you.” — Honey Good

Kick up your heels and let Collette do the planning for the ultimate getaway!

I’m inviting you to grow with me. Yes, I have decided to expand Honey Good into the world of travel. My goal is to meet you and spend quality time with you. Together we will laugh, learn, and bond. But first…

HOW I BECAME A ‘WORLDLY’ WOMAN THROUGH TRAVEL

On the education chart, I put travel at the top of the list.  I have had the amazing opportunity through my 33 years of travel to take a World History course.  No classroom. No professor. Instead, I have walked the landscapes of 70 countries and spent hours with people of all faiths and different cultures. Read my story here on how travel after 50 is life-changing.

I have studied different civilizations going back to the beginning of time. The first saved written words from the Jews. Democracy from the Greeks. The great stone cutters, the Egyptians and that is just for starters.

In the most magical way, I have studied world history. Through the lens of the people, the animals of Africa, stunning art and artifacts, different cuisines, even floating food markets, beautiful landscapes, and fantastic architecture. I have walked across the different continents of our world and the windows of the world have been my history professors. It is for all these reasons and more that I invite you to join me.

A NEW PASSION IS ON THE HORIZON – GROUP TRAVEL & TRAVELING WITH WOMEN

With all the world has to offer, are you making a point to experience it all?

In the past, I have traveled with my ultimate concierge, my grandchildren and my close friends. I want to add an additional dimension to my existing itinerary — group travel — traveling with women.

Every season has a reason and, by chance — though I believe nothing happens by accident — a spark ignited in me when the travel company, COLLETTE, a 106-year-old family business, approached Honey Good to partner with them in the area of group travel.

You know I believe in listening to my heart — it knows. It knew this trip was my opportunity to meet you in person and not for just an hour but for several days. To laugh with you, to learn with you, to share  travel adventures with you.

I could not say no to this rewarding opportunity. I immediately jumped at the chance and arranged for a personal meeting with Lora, Business Development Manager, to learn more about the travel company, Collette.

To no surprise (for a company that’s been around for over 100 years!) I was very impressed. The travel company, Collette has been sharing their love of travel with groups of 50+ since 1918. This company is the perfect venue for Honey Good women. Their credentials are pristine and they are family-owned. Partnering with a family-owned company that has been in business over 100 years gives it total credibility.

I believe there are no accidents. I believe in serendipity, the occurrence of an event ‘by chance’ that is happy or beneficial. The call from Collette was just that.

COLLECTING PEOPLE IN MY LIFE GIVES ME JOY — WHAT BETTER JOY THAN WOMEN TRAVELING TOGETHER?

I’ve been to 70 different countries, but I still enjoy exploring this gorgeous country I call home!

I am a collector and one of my great passions is collecting people. I enjoy bringing people together in groups to celebrate one another.

The passion of curating incredible groups of women began back when the New York Times asked me to  invite a multigenerational group of women ages 28 to 96 years old into my home, I jumped at the opportunity because — I love group get togethers.

That is the reason I started to run groups for women over fifty in my home and ventured into developing two private Facebook groups, Celebrate Life After 50 and Sisters in Widowhood

A REASON TO CELEBRATE — THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF HONEYGOOD.COM

My pooch, fittingly named America, my ultimate concierge, and I can’t wait to go on this journey!

With 10 years under my belt at my beloved Honey Good, and an anniversary to celebrate the event, in September of 2024, I am inviting you to join me and my ultimate concierge on a trip with the travel company Collette, to visit several National Parks in our beloved America.

WHY I CHOSE THE NATIONAL PARKS

The world is our oyster so to speak. I pondered and pondered where to travel finally deciding that our first trip would be in the United States.

I decided our group should begin with a visit to the last frontier — the West. I chose this tour with Collette for several reasons. Most of us traveling in the group are Americans and as Americans we feel a great allegiance to our Country.

Many  years ago I read James A. Michener’s novel, Centennial; a history of the West. The story of the revolutionary pioneers and indigenous peoples instilled in me a deep desire to visit the National Parks of the United States. I also read Teddy Rosevelt’s autobiography and was awestruck with his desire to preserve the land. I want us as a group to enjoy American history in a quiet setting filled with spectacular sites and yet still so we can … just be.  A spiritual experience.

LET’S DISCOVER AMERICA — WOMEN TRAVELING TOGETHER

America the Beautiful still has the power to stun me with her grandeur! Let’s explore her together along with an experienced guide in Collette!

The trip will be very exciting! We will visit five National Parks as well as some western towns that include Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Sedona, Arizona. We will explore our American roots in Salt Lake City and enjoy our country’s treasures in different states. We will visit America’s past and revel together in its grandeur and magnificence.
