Slip into Cozy This Season

I’m a sponsored blog partner of GermanSlippers.com, but all opinions contained in this post are my own.

Today, I am writing about the most unique, divine gift that you can get for any woman (or man) you love this season… quality slippers.

Now, that may not sound like earth-shattering fall gift suggestion, but, dear readers, once you’ve slipped a pair of these lined wool slippers onto your tired toes, you will understand why they will make any recipient simply beam.

My Idea of Morning Perfection

Since I was introduced to these particular German Slippers, my morning routine has begun with four essential elements: Slip on slippers, kiss Shelly, cuddle my pup and drink coffee. Now, that’s my idea of morning perfection!

The unadorned “Alaska” Brick Red pair I am wearing above is by a German — of course — company called Haflinger. Crafted of 100% boiled wool, these are no ordinary German Slippers. They offer an integrated comfort footbed, a latex-coated felt outsole and a cork and latex sole that offers both comfort and support. You may purchase a pair online for $72.90, here.

Another pair I adore is pictured above in my hallway. Also by Haflinger, the style is “Everest Floriane” and the hue is Ruby Red. Like all of the products from German Slippers, this pair combines innovative German design and craftsmanship with a special focus on foot health and comfort.

The site, german-slippers.com, offers over 250 unique pairs of slippers. In fact, they are the number one online purveyor of high-quality house shoes made of fine boiled wool, sturdy wool felt and smooth leather from Germany.

You know how I love interesting back stories and, of course, this site has one!  The company headquarters is situated in Goslar – the World Cultural Heritage Site and former seat of German Emperors on the outer edges of the picturesque Harz mountain range.

The above slipper is a Haflinger Felt Slipper called “Dreamtime.” This picture is in my guest bedroom, and I dare say, it would make any guest’s trip to wake up to a pair of these at their bedside. Get them online for $89.90, here.

“Putting on house shoes or boiled wool slippers means exchanging the hard soled hardships of the outside world for the soft-soled and comforting warmth of your home. That familiar feeling of coziness starts in the feet and spreads through the entire body like a wave, defining one of life’s quality feel-good moments.” ~German Slippers

A Company That Cares

German Slippers is a small business that takes great pride in it’s personal customer service and policies. All orders will be shipped free and they offer easy returns; orders from the US, Australia and New Zealand below $800 (US), $1000 (AU) and $300 (NZ) will be duty & tax free, as well.

Here’s to lovely fall and winter mornings with loved ones by our side. Here’s to the roads we’ve traveled and continue to walk. May you, too, be lucky enough to rest your tired little toes in slippers this divine. 😉

I have worn these for YEARS.. the only downside is the toe of the slippers ALWAYS get a hole and the rest of the footwear is still in mint condition

  2. Caroline says:
