Sometimes darlings, we need a hint of fun in our outfit. Earlier this season I bought a fabulous pair of Rene Caovilla boots that have a heel that sparkles with rhinestones. I loved the pop of fun, but it turns out THIS IS A WHOLE TREND. I have noticed embellished heels everywhere since buying this pair: Both at home in Chicago and at my home in California! They seem to be taking over. Embellished heels are in and there are so many fun ways they are being worn.

So the first note is it doesn’t actually have to be a high heel to be embellished. Don’t forget, darlings I have terrible feet (read my story here) and was still able to find a brand that made this trend work for me. However, many brands are making embellished heels that are basically flats that are still bold and fun, so if high heels aren’t your thing it’s not required to be part of the trend. Don’t forget if high heels are your thing but your feet think differently platforms are the easiest way to get the height but also the comfort.

It also turns out these embellished heels can easily be dressed up or down. I wore mine with slacks, but a lot of these fun heels look great with denim.

And finally, it’s not just a winter trend. There are many mules and even open-toed shoes with this look which leads me to believe you can waltz right into spring with this embellished heel trend! I am smiling.
