"Old Is The New Black" and Other Statement Tees We Adore

You may not think of me as a T-shirt person, darlings, and a few years ago you may have been correct, but lately I am enamored with some of the new “statement tees” making the fashion rounds.

These aren’t the T-shirts of yesteryear. They are chic, modern, and they offer up a sartorial sass not seen in your typical white tee. Best of all, these tees aren’t to be paired with sweatpants; these statement tees can be worn with pleated skirts, tailored slacks, Bermuda shorts, or just about anything else your hearts desire.

Take a peek at the looks below and then head over to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or comment on the blog (below) and let me know if statement tees are something you’d be willing to wear… and wear with joy! I’m dying to know if the rest of my Honey Good community would take any of these t-shirts for a spin!

Old is the New Black

This tee shirt is making waves and I’m starting to like it. Once one gets past the initial disdain for the word “old,” it starts to make sense. And, am I right in feeling that only a woman with tons of confidence and visibility would wear this tee? Plus, as you know, my declaration to us all is “You are not invisible!” I’m calling this t-shirt — and its mantra — a must have!

What is a feminist? A person who embraces “feminism” which is literally defined as, “the advocacy of women’s rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.” It’s not political, it’s not radical… it’s simply the belief in equality for all.

Doesn’t this statement tee really just make a stunningly true statement, darlings? Bringing Feminism Back… in fact, I’m more of a “feminist” than I’ve ever been. I am finally and completely comfortable in my own skin — this is one of the most precious and liberating gifts of life after 50!

Do you advocate for equal rights for women and men everywhere? Say it loud and say it proud by picking up one of these tees for less than $20, here!
