My Favorite Winter Accessories

Let’s talk winter accessories — and mine go beyond the usual! The days are colder, the sun is out less and less but I like to keep to the sunny side of the street and look for something bright. In this case winter means more layers and more opportunities to add spice to my wardrobe. Here are some of my favorite winter accessories at several different price points!

My Favorite Winter Accessories — Beyond the Usual!

When I think about cold-weather accessories, of course I think of a lovely coat, hats, scarves, and gloves. But you know me, darlings, I like to think outside the box, so I’ve included things that you may not think of as accessories but in my book, they are!

Red Lipstick — The Ultimate Confidence Booster!

First up I have to talk about my best accessory — my smile. Darlings, let me tell you, a smile is like a warm hug for the soul, especially during these cold winter months. A smile is a universal language that can brighten up any day and make you feel like a million bucks.

But you know what makes a smile even better? A bold, fiery red lipstick! I mean, talk about a power duo! A red lip is like a superhero cape for your lips, it can make you feel fierce, confident, and ready to take on the world.

Now, I know some of you may be thinking, “But Honey, I’m not sure if red lipstick is my thing,” and to that I say, “Nonsense! There’s a red lipstick out there for everyone, you just have to find the right shade for your skin tone.” Whether you’re fair, medium, or dark, there’s a red lipstick out there that will make you feel like the queen bee that you are.

A matte lipstick is perfect for the winter because it lasts longer and gives you that polished look, no touch-ups needed! Just make sure you use a lip primer before applying your lipstick, trust me, it’ll make a world of difference. You can read up on all my favorite red lipsticks here.

In short, a smile is the ultimate accessory and a red lipstick is the cherry on top. So, go out there and rock that red lip and smile, because, darling, you’re worth it!

An Unexpected Winter Accessory — Your Signature Scent!

Next up let’s talk about the power of a signature scent. Now, I know you may be thinking, “But Honey, I’ve got my smile and my red lipstick, what more do I need?” Well, let me tell you, a signature scent is like the cherry on top of the cherry on top. It’s the finishing touch that can take your style and confidence to the next level.

Having a signature scent is like having a secret weapon. It’s something that’s unique to you and can evoke memories, emotions, and feelings. It’s like a little piece of you that you can leave behind wherever you go. It’s a way to make a lasting impression and let people remember you long after you’ve left.

But, a signature scent is not just about impressing others, it’s also a confidence booster for yourself. The moment you spray on your signature scent, you’ll feel like a new person, ready to take on the world. It’s like a little reminder that you’re capable, confident, and ready for anything.

My mother taught me everything I know when it comes to choosing a scent. When it comes to finding your signature scent, it’s important to consider your personal taste and the occasion. For a more formal event, a classic and elegant scent like jasmine or lavender would be perfect. For a casual day out, something more playful and fruity like a strawberry or apple scent would be great.

Essentially, a signature scent is a great accessory that can enhance the you in you. It’s a way to express yourself and make a lasting impression. So, go out there and find your signature scent and let the world remember you for all the right reasons.

Winter Jackets

Being that I am a Chicagoan, I can’t really talk winter accessories without talking about jackets. If you must wear one, you may as well love the way you look! When it comes to jackets, there are many styles to consider — length, warmth, print, color, etc. Here are some favorites that I’ve found in a few different price points.

Winter accessories - hats

I love a cheerful knitted beanie to brighten up a cold, cloudy day!

Winter Hats

When it comes to hats, I like ’em all — from beanie to beret. To me, they’re just the winter accessory to add a brilliant pop of color and texture to an otherwise dreary day. Get out and stand out!

What Are Your Favorite Winter Accessories?

To wrap this all up, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my absolute favorite accessory — my ultimate concierge. He’s the one I always want on my arm and who brings out the biggest smiles in me. He warms my heart.

What’s your number one, can’t-live-without winter accessory? Please share with me in the comments.

Here we don’t get a lot of cold cold weather but I personally don’t like the cold but I like dressing for the cold over summer dressing. I love scarves even in the summer, but I feel a scarf helps also to protect my throat from the cold and getting sick. I love hats and have several. I used to feel awkward but now I’m like I embrace the hats but also for health practical reasons also. To keep you warmer ( that is what hats are for), when it’s very windy helps to tone down your hair from blowing crazily. And I love coats! I mean it! I love coats. And I love boots! But I tend to wear sneakers more lately because of I hurt my knee last year and my back issues. But costs and boots , scarves and hats are my favorites! My blessings to you Honey! Stay warm in Chicago
