When it comes to a luxurious night routine, I say keep it simple, darlings. Simplicity brings peace, and that’s just what you’re going for as you head to dreamland.

3 Easy Steps for a Luxurious Night Routine
Step #1 – Set the Mood!
First up we must set the tone for relaxation. We all have our own ideas of what is cozy, calm, and relaxing. For you, it may be throw pillows and blankets galore! For me it is tranquil simplicity. But no matter who you are, you’ll feel more relaxed in an organized space – take a few minutes to tidy up! Next up in my luxurious night routine, I set the mood.
My tips for setting the mood:
- Play relaxing music (I love Parisienne or Hawaiian music and I play them on my Google Nest Hub Max.)
- Light your fireplace or candles
- Lower any harsh lights
Step #2 – Pamper Yourself
Now it’s time for your luxurious beauty ritual. A few months back, I decided to pair down my nighttime beauty routine. It’s not about how many products you use, it’s all about the ritual, darling! Trust me on this.
My Night Beauty Routine:

Step #3 – Do Something You Love

If you can’t think of anything, or if your evenings are usually hectic, I’d say it’s time to get out a notebook and journal about your ideal winddown routine.
Ask yourself these questions:
- What am I doing at night that causes me stress?
- What could I put off until tomorrow?
- Is there anything I could consolidate to make things more simple?
- What brings me peace and joy?
Once you get an idea of what your ideal evening looks like, come up with a plan to make it happen!
Lists are great for this. If you find it hard to relax because you’re stressing about everything that you’ll need to do tomorrow – make a list! Before you even begin your night routine, list out everything you need to do the next day in order of importance. This way, you can relax knowing that you won’t forget anything.
And now you can let the relaxation begin! Cuddle on the couch or bed with your special someone and open a book. Don’t forget to cuddle with your pet, my pooch America is the best cuddle buddy. When I’m with him, my stress melts away.
No matter what you do to wind down and relax, if it works for you, then it’s right for you. If it’s not working, it’s time to reevaluate and make a plan for a luxurious night routine. You deserve it!
