The Best Dry Shampoo and a Giveaway

Today, I am sharing the best dry shampoo on the market…and a giveaway! Dry shampoo is a must have if you feel like you’re always on the go or in a time crunch. Dry shampoo isn’t a new product, but it has recently picked up popularity thanks to beauty experts and hair stylists who are now recommending washing your hair less to keep it feeling and looking healthy.

In fact, some experts recommend that you only wash your hair twice a week! But with so much time in between shampoos, what do you do when you hair starts looking oily?  That’s where the best dry shampoo comes in!

What is dry shampoo?

Dry shampoo works by absorbing the oils in between washes, leaving you with fresher looking, feeling and smelling hair without the use of water. Typically, dry shampoo is sold as a spray-on powder. You can find dry shampoo just about anywhere with prices ranging from $3 at the drugstore to $50 if you want to splurge.

How to use dry shampoo

All you do is spray the product at the roots of your hair and ‘voila’ – cleaner and fresher hair in no time! The most important thing to remember when using a dry shampoo is that you want to be sure to either comb it out or rub it in – you don’t want a powdery white residue to be left behind, darlings.

Dry shampoo is a staple for traveling, if your hair gets oily between washes, or if you want to freshen up mid-day. Because it also adds volume back to your hair, it’s helpful for adding fullness throught the day for those of us with fine hair.

The best products + a giveaway!

I love this product: Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo.  Sold for about $6 at Ulta stores and online at Ulta.com, this dry shampoo absorbs excess oil, cleans hair without water and leaves a light, matte finish. It’s easy to use and affordable. Want to try it without buying it? This product is my fave and I am giving a brand new one away. Register here for a chance to win!

Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-Powder; $28 at Sephora stores.

I really love the volume that this dry shampoo offers. So this is the ideal product if you are in between washes and are looking for a boost.

Batiste Hint of Color Dry Shampoo; $3.99 online here.

Like I mentioned, dry shampoo tends to leave a white powder behind. For brunettes, this is a problem, but not with this product! It’s pigmented, so you won’t have to worry about the residue standing out against your dark hair.

Dove Volume and Fullnes; $4.89 online here.

If you have thin and limp hair, this is the product for you. It adds fullness back to your hair, so not only will your hair smell fresher after using this, but it will look thicker.

Drybar Detox  3.5 oz; $23 online here.

Drybar is a classic, and this is also my favorite smelling product on the list! It’s lightly fragranced with notes of sandalwood, jasmine and vanilla and smells so good that people will never know your secret.

Have you ever tried dry shampoo?

Do tell! I would so love to hear from you on TwitterFacebookPinterest, Instagram or in the comments section below.

I have used dry shampoo for many years and I love it. For travel, I use a dry powder rather than a spray, which doesn’t work as well. I will try B & B. Thankyou for the reviews, Honey. As always, extremely helpful.
