Weekend Musings: Qigong, DIY Beauty, & More!

We made it to August, darling. It’s been hot, and some days feel especially long and hard, but I am so grateful for my health and the health of my family. This year, we have lots to be thankful for, and I’m especially looking forward to my daughter coming home for our annual family celebration. As well, I love waking up early to walk America through downtown Chicago, passing our familiar street corner, and sometimes we hit our favorite little bakery. The morning walk is always nice, even when the dog tries to make a funny excuse for slowing us down—maybe he thinks the dog ate my motivation!

I love taking care of myself, journaling, and thinking of how I am grateful every day. I gave myself a couple of new weekend experiences recently, and they brought lots of joy. I hope the weekend brings continued good health and happy moments for us all.

Daily Qigong Routine

One of our lovely GRANDwomen on my private Facebook group, GRANDWomen with Moxie, mentioned that she was obsessed with Qigong. So, I went and looked it up and found an interesting routine that involves some physical work and effort, making it suitable for older women and men, as well as young people!
