My communications and leadership skills sharpened over a decades-long career coupled with my belief in the powers of community and sisterhood enabled me to spread my wings at Honey Good. As the longest serving member of the team, I’m community manager of Honey’s Facebook groups and provide PR consulting. I’m also spokesperson for Honey’s ultimate concierge, Real Estate Icon Sheldon F. Good, and was senior vp-corporate communications of his namesake firm. Earlier, I chaired a school district education foundation and created and ran an award-winning school safety program for seven school districts. I’m a doting mother and grandmother, too.

I’m a jack of all art trades! I’ve tried most everything that has to do with creating, but digital art and design is my jam! I have designed hundreds of items of merchandise and sold thousands for brands. I am the social media expert for as much as 20 brands at a time. I’ve grown social media accounts from zero followers to being the leading brands in their industry. I’ve designed many websites and helped brands with SEO and Google rankings.

I enjoy reading on cold, crisp autumn days. I love anything spooky and going to rock concerts. The best things in life (besides family) are old churches, Indian food, and the color pink.

Lover of all things beautiful, from our Mother Earth down to the perfect coffee mug.

For eight years, I worked as an educator until I decided to follow my dreams to become a writer. Imho, there’s nothing better than crafting the perfect line. I went back to school and started a successful copywriting business and have never looked back.

I currently live in Ohio by way of Florida, Vermont, West Virginia, Kentucky, and California (twice, northern and southern!). You can find me on the trails of my local park system or at my favorite coffee shop writing fiction.

There are 170,000 words in the English language, and I want to use them all! Wielding words and building brands ramps me up; while bubble baths, binge-worthy books, and expensive dark chocolate calms me down. I believe in the power of sisterhood, find spirituality in nature, and always set goals in sync with the moon. As a serial entrepreneur, I’ve built and sold three businesses, consulted for Silicon Valley SAAS companies, created written content and marketing campaigns for household names like ABCMouse and Underdog Games, mentored women business owners, and have been featured as a guest on podcasts for women, communication, and entrepreneurship.

I love the power of the beach! When I see the ocean, I love the feeling of the sand under my feet, the ocean breeze on my skin, and the scent of salty air. It is then that I am most at peace.

Twenty years of experience as an operations manager for a boutique hair salon in the Gold Coast area in Chicago. Seeing the bigger picture in my role has allowed me to wear many hats. Now, at 50, I have decided to make a career change. Joining the Honey Good team has allowed me to interact with women 50 plus in fun and creative ways through digital channels.

I’m Honey Good; the modern matriarch and writer whose great joy is to give back to other women. Through my challenges I have learned to coexist with whatever is thrown my way. In the process of living my life in chapters I have enlarged my world and learned to age exquisitely. My story telling is factual and reflects my authenticity and vulnerability. My goal is to teach women to grow through their hard times, acknowledge all blessings and never to forget to razzle their dazzle!

How lucky I am!

I never expected I would own an Internet site for women.
I never expected I would become a woman's writer
I never expected people to recognize my face or know my name.
I never expected I would run multigenerational women's groups.
I never expected to become the author of a book.
I never expected I would be featured in The New York Times
I never expected I would be in Who’s Who in America.
              But, I always expected…

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and girlfriend.
I am a world traveler.
I am a business owner.
I was widowed, am remarried, and the Matriarch of a blended family.
I am a Cancer survivor.
I love to entertain, shop till I drop, and love beauty and style.
I love that I am true to herself and trust my instincts
I am a woman who earned her Phd in Life.

What I offer women is aspiration. To see their cup half full. Writing authentic stories about the lessons I have learned is in my DNA. If I were asked what got me to where I am today I would yell to every women from the tree tops…Toss your fears out the window, try everything and worry about it later! This has been my formula from the time I was a little girl, growing up in Kankakee by the Sea. And, oh the people I have met, the places I have seen and the dreams I turned into reality.

Because, I would not be the woman I am today without taking risks. Take risks darling! If you’re not risking, you are not living. Be curious, have a sense of humor, love deeply, and when you dream a dream, don’t expect to ride up in the elevator! You have to huff and puff up the stairs! I am smiling.
